Safety Rules and Operating Instructions

In the interest of the safe operation of interactive and inflatable games you are having at your event, we want you
to be aware of your responsibilities in the safe use and operation of these games.   There are certain basic items
that you need to be aware of, and play close attention to at all times during your event.

General Operating Guidelines

Do not operate any inflatable game if winds exceed 15 MPH or gusts are expected.   Many inflatable games begin
to become unstable at winds as low as 5 or 10 MPH.   Please pay careful attention to every game in any breezy or
windy condition.   If the wind picks up, get everyone out of and away from the unit, and shut off all blowers until
conditions are safe.   Make sure that the unit is securely anchored outdoors, and stakes and / or sandbags are
attached and stakes securely anchored to the ground.

Calmly and safely remove participants from a game or ride if it deflates

Keep a safety area around the ride clear of debris, power lines, vehicles, sharp objects, and anything else that
could interfere with the safety of the ride or the participants

No Flips, No Jumping from one part of the unit to another, No Jumping off of the game, No Rough Housing, No
Kicking, No Pushing, and please avoid Participant to Participant contact at all times

Make sure a responsible person (or persons) is supervising the unit, game, or ride at all times

Make sure participants remove Shoes, loose jewelry, eyeglasses, and other sharp or loose items before using any
inflatable game or ride

If a potential participant has any of the following conditions, they should not be allowed on any ride or game:  Back
or Neck Injury, Respiratory Conditions such as Asthma or Bronchitis, Pregnancy, Knee or Joint conditions, Heart or
Circulatory Conditions.

Make sure any electrical connections and equipment are well separated from any wet or damp conditions.

Please let our staff know if you have any questions about the safe operation of any game, inflatable, or piece of
equipment.

Game specific operating procedures and guidelines are on following pages.   Please make sure you understand all
specific operating instructions for the game or games in your care, as well as the general guidelines above.   Thank
you.

Safety Rules and Operating Instructions

Game Specific Operating and Safety

Bouncy Boxing: The bouncy boxing ring is designed for 2 people, up to 225 pounds each, to Bounce and “Box”
each other.   Only the large padded oversize boxing gloves we provide should be used for boxing.  Participants
should also wear the soft headgear provided with the game.  “Punches” with the padded gloves should only be
allowed from the chest area down – participants facing each other  (no blows or punches allowed to the head or
neck area or to the back).  Unit should be supervised at all times.  Participants should only bounce up and down on
their feet while boxing.   No flips, kicking, or jumping in or out of the game are allowed.

Bungee Run / Dual Sports:   The Bungee Run is designed for 2 participants to run in separate lanes at the same
time.   Participants should only run at the same time (and not in a staggered fashion).   Vest must be adjusted to
each participant’s size, and buckles and / or straps securely fastened.   Make sure that the bungee cords are
securely fastened to both the plate or other attachment point on the bungee run, and to the vest as well.  On The
Dual Sports, bungee cord should pass thru center of unit – and participants should not go to their competitors side
of the game.   Participants should not jump into another participant’s lane or area.   No jumping off of the unit.
Maximum weight of participant is 225 pounds.

Carnival Games: Carnival Games should be supervised at all times.   Many games contain small pieces that
young children should not be allowed to have.   Never throw or toss any game parts at another person.   Only play
the games as they are designed to be played.   Most toss games are to be used with underhand tosses only – no
hard or overhand throws.   Keep any sharp or dangerous parts away from children.  Please return all balls, bean
bags, and other accessories with each of the games.

Cash Cube (inflatable Money Machine):  Only one participant in the cash cube at any time.  Small blower to
inflate unit should be running at all times.    Make sure zippers are lubricated with chap stick if they are sticky, and
unit is zipped up with participant inside before starting large blower to blow around your cash or coupons.   You can
vary the time inside to meet your needs, but usually 20 to 40 seconds is sufficient.   Participants should grab only
cash / coupons that are blowing around in the cube.

Combo Moonwalk:  Combo Moonwalks (Bounce Houses with slide attached) are designed for a fixed number of
participants at one time.   Generally, the larger the participants, the fewer participants there should be in the
moonwalk at one time.   General Guidelines are:
No more than 7 people at 80 pound average
No more than 4 people at 150 pound average
No more than 2 people at 200 pound average
Maximum weight should be limited to 200 pounds

It is best to have participants of like size at one time.
The exception to this is a parent who goes in to supervise a small child.   A supervisor should be positioned at the
entrance of the combo moonwalk to insure safe entry and exit.   Participants may bounce (jump up and down)  and
also drop to their knees or seat, but should not flip, kick, push, or come in contact with any of the other participants
while in the combo moonwalk.  Participant to Participant contact creates the biggest change of injury. Only one
person should be on the slide portion of the combo moonwalk.  Participants on the slide should exit completely
before another participant uses the slide.   Game should be supervised at all times.

Cotton Candy Machine:   Machine gets hot while in use – do not touch the head of the machine while heat is on.
Do not touch the head of the machine while it is spinning.   Only fill the head of the machine when it is not spinning
and it is turned off.   Eye protection is recommended to be used by person operating machine and bystanders.
Follow the directions and suggestions of the cotton candy rider and instructions provided with your contract.
There must be adequate power to operate a cotton candy machine – no other devises should be on the same
circuit, and extension cords are not recommended.

Crawl Thru Inflatable (Caterpillar, Choo Choo, or similar): Size of participants should be limited to 125 pounds
or less – these types of inflatable games are designed for children, not for teens or adults.   There should be
supervision at all times.   Supervisors of the games should insure that no participant to participant contact takes
place.   Direction of children should be from the entrance, and all the way thru the inflatable, and exiting at the
end.   Please insure that there are no more than 2 or 3 children in the entire unit at any one time.   Any slide
portions of the game should be seated and feet first.    Make sure that all participants go all the way thru the ride,
and entirely exit the unit.

Dual Shot Basketball Game / Mini Hoops: Game should be supervised at all times.   Participants should only
throw from the base of the game – no long shots.   Participants should only use the balls to play the game – no
throwing balls at other people.   No leaning on game.   No sitting on game.

Dunk Tank:  People who are sitting in the dunk tank (to be dunked) should be able to swim, comfortable with being
submersed in water, and old enough to understand the operation of the tank, and what is going to happen to them
when they get “dunked”.   Dunk tank should be supervised at all times.  Fill Dunk tank as much as possible, and
insure that during heavy use, water gets topped off as needed.   No one should interfere with the person sitting in
the tank to get dunked.   Only one person should be throwing at the target at one time.   Make sure that the Dunk
Tank is positioned in a safe area where stray balls thrown at the target do not hit anyone (if they miss the target,
tarp background, or tank cage).  Make sure seat is latched correctly each time before the “dunkie” takes a seat.
Be careful of pinch points which are found in the seat latch and trip mechanisms in several places, as well as other
pinch points on the dunk tank.

Generator:  Portable Power Generators must be supervised / monitored at all times.   Make sure they are placed
on level ground, and away from anything combustable.   Generators must have oil checked before starting, and oil
level maintained during use.   Low oil can shut the generator down or make it sputter.   Low oil can also cause
engine damage.   Top off fuel before use.  A full tank of fuel will run the generator approximately 5 hours,
depending upon load.  If you need to refuel generator during the event, shut it off, let it cool, and be very careful
not to spill fuel.   Fuel can ignite if dripped on muffler or other hot parts.    If you plug too many items into the
generator, or do not split circuits correctly, the breakers will trip, or generator will shut down.   Do not overload the
capacity of the generator.   We recommend grounding generator if possible.   Do not use in damp areas.

Gladiator Joust or Arena (Rock and Roll):  The Gladiator Joust or Arena is designed for use by 2 participants at
a time.  Participants must wear soft head gear.   Spectators should not lean on or sit on the game at any time.   The
padded joust poles or joust sticks should always be held with both hands at the hand hold points.  No “ramming”
blows are allowed.  No striking of your opponent’s head, neck or back.  Game should be supervised at all times.
No flips, kicks or jumping off of game or onto game is allowed.  Maximum recommended weight for participants is
225 pounds each.

Hi Striker (High Striker):  Game must be supervised at all times. Care must be taken with the Maul (Hammer)
used to strike the base of the game.   Only one person at a time is allowed to play.   Bystanders should stand well
back from game and player.   Maul should be gripped firmly.   Do not strike anyone or anything with the Maul other
than the designated spot on the base of the game.  Do not throw the Maul.    Do not put your hand in any section of
the game while in use – as there are several pinch points in the base of the game, as well as other sections of the
game.   Game must be placed on level ground  – please take care of placement and while in use as to not tip the
game over.

Horse Derby (Fun Derby): Only use the inflated horses on the protected floor of the inflatable course.   Game
must be supervised at all times.   Choose a horse size appropriate for each participant’s size.  Do not run into other
participants.  Spectators should stay well away from the game, and should not interfere with any of the
participants.   Take care when riding to keep your balance when participating – you can get hurt if you fall or run
into another participant or off of the course.

Human Foosball (or Dodgeball): Human Foosball is an open arena with goal areas that sits on the ground.
Participants actually stand on the ground while playing.   Belts and Ropes can be used for regular human foosball
play, restraining the movement of participants on the playing field – or the unit can be used without the ropes and
belts to be used just as an arena for dodgeball or kickball.   Game should be supervised at all times.  Participants
should not purposely kick or throw a ball at another player.    Participants should not push, kick or roughhouse with
each other during play, as participant to participant contact can cause injury.

Human Spheres:   Human Spheres should be adjusted to each participant.   Make sure each sphere is properly
inflated.   Game should be supervised at all times.   Spheres must be used on level ground, and away from any
water – use on dry land only.   Stay on the designated course.  Make sure that participants are comfortable with the
operation of the sphere, and head and all extremities are within the confines of the ball.   Observers should not
interfere with operation of the game.   Helpers should help keep the spheres within the designated course.
Laser Tag:  No more than 8 participants in Laser Tag inflatable at one time.   6 participants maximum is preferred.
Laser Phasers (guns) must be used with 2 hands at all times – no one hand use at any time.  Keep phaser close to
your own body.   No pushing or rough play inside of unit.   No touching of any other participant with phaser or your
body at any time.   Listen to the instructions of the attendant at all times, and follow their instructions.  All
participants must exit the unit at the end of the game.  Do not use any entrance other than the main entrance.
Phasers may not be put down, and must be given to the attendant or placed in the charging rack at the instruction
of the attendant at the end of each game.   Do not drop the phasers (laser guns), or get near any damp conditions
or water.

Mechanical Bull / Mechanical Surfboard:   Only one rider / participant is allowed at a time.   Maximum weight
250 pounds.   Please obey operator’s instructions at all times.   Observers should not lean on or sit on the
inflatable safety surround at any time.   Observers should not interfere with the rider or operator at any time.
Participants should not over exaggerate their movements at any time (bobbing head, extreme movement, etc.).
Participants should not jump onto or off of the ride at any time.   If you fall off of the ride, do not move until the
operator has brought the ride to a complete stop, and advised you to get back onto the Mechanical Bull or
Surfboard, or to exit the ride.

Mini Golf:  Golf Clubs should be used only for putting golf balls on the supplied course.   Swings should be light,
and balls should remain on the course at all times.   Do not over swing and hit the balls off of the course.
Participants should not hit another participant or bystander with a golf club or ball at any time.   Mini Golf area
should be supervised at all times.

Moonwalk:  Moonwalks (Bounce Houses) are designed for a fixed number of participants at one time.
Generally, the larger the participants, the fewer participants there should be in the moonwalk at one time.   General
Guidelines are:
No more than 7 people at 80 pound average          No more than 4 people at 150 pound average
No more than 2 people at 200 pound average        Maximum weight should be limited to 200 pounds
It is best to have participants of like size at one time.   The exception to this is a parent who goes in to supervise a
small child.   A supervisor should be positioned at the entrance of the moonwalk to insure safe entry and exit.
Participants may bounce (jump up and down)  and also drop to their knees or seat, but should not flip, kick, push,
or come in contact with any of the other participants while in the moonwalk.  Participant to Participant contact
creates the biggest chance of injury.

Obstacle Course:   Obstacle Courses are designed for 2 people to move thru them at a time.   The 2 participants
should start at the same time, and the next 2 participants should not begin until the first 2 participants are clearly
done going thru the obstacle course.   All obstacles on the course are made to crawl, climb, or move thru.
Absolutely no jumping on the obstacle course or from the top of a climb area to a lower area on the obstacle
course.  No exiting or jumping off of the obstacle course is allowed.   Supervisors for the obstacle course should be
placed at the beginning of the obstacle course, and at the end of the obstacle course at a minimum to insure safe
starts, and that participants are fully off of the obstacle course before the next set of participants start.   All slide
areas of the obstacle course should be used feet first.   If a third supervisor is available, they should be placed
midway thru the obstacle course, or at the area where 2 piece obstacle courses are joined to promote appropriate
movement thru these areas.   Maximum weight of participant is 250 pounds.   Please make sure that all sections of
multiple piece obstacle courses stay securely fastened together at all times, and Velcro safety flaps are secure.

Pit Stop Challenge:  Game must be supervised.   This game involves power and air driven equipment, and sharp
objects and pinch points using real wheels, tires and hubs.   This game should not be done by children under 13
years of age.   Listen to game operator.   Hand tighten lug nuts first to avoid cross threading.   Make sure that air
gun is used properly, and socket is seated correctly on the nut before triggering the operation of the gun.   Take
care to keep hands and other extremities and clothing away from moving equipment and pinch points.
Popcorn Machine: Many parts inside the popcorn machine are very hot during operation – please take care.   Do
not fill or touch the kettle while heat is on.   Do not fill kettle with kettle agitator motor on or in motion.   Do not leave
kettle on while not being used to pop corn.  Empty kettle when corn is finished popping.   Do not allow children to
reach inside the popcorn machine at any time during use.   Make sure that adequate power is available – and no
other devises are used on the same circuit as the popcorn machine.   Extension cords are not recommended due
to voltage drop that can make the unit malfunction.

Radar Speed Games (Pitch, Football, etc.)  Game and any radar equipment must be supervised at all times.   Do
not let participants throw any balls or other equipment used at any other participant or bystander.   Only throw at
the target in the inflatable game.   Radar unit should be placed off to the side, and on the ground inside the
inflatable unit.   Please follow the directions supplied by the radar unit’s manufacturer for proper use.   This
inflatable unit is to be used as a surround only, and is not to be climbed upon.

Rockwall Inflatable (Climbing Mountain Inflatable):  This unit must be supervised at all times in use.   Climbing
harnesses and ropes must be used for all participants’ safety.  Harnesses must be adjusted to each climber, and
securely fastened.   Each climber must have a spotter who has been trained in safety of the unit, and who is
securely taking up slack in the rope at all times.   No free climbing is ever allowed.   Only 2 climbers at a time, and
they should be on opposing faces of the wall if at all possible.   No jumping off of the game at any time.  No jumping
from upper portions of the wall to lower on the wall.   Observers should not be on the game or interfere with the
participants or supervisors at any time.  Supervisors must instruct each climber as to the above safety rules before
they are allowed to climb.

Slide:  Slides are designed for one person to be going up the steps while one person is sliding down and exiting
the slide.   Slides can be top heavy, so no more than 2 people should ever be at the top portion of the slide at one
time.   Only one person should slide down at a time.   The only exception is an adult sliding with their child (while
holding the child between their legs, and seated), or on a larger slide where 2 can slide side by side without
colliding with each other.   ABSOLUTELY NO JUMPING from the top portion of the slide.  Participants should slide
feet first, and be seated while sliding.   It is important not to rock the slide while at the top, as there is a possibility of
overturning the slide.   Participants should exit the slide as soon as they slide down.   Maximum weight of participant
is 250 pounds.

Sno Cone Machine:  Lift handle and Put Ice in the upper portion (hopper) of the sno cone machine, but do not
overfill.  Use handle assembly to cover ice in the hopper.   Make sure no hands are anywhere near the hopper or
inside the unit.   Turn the unit on.   Use handle to press the ice into the blades and create shaved ice which
appears on the inside of the machine.   Turn off machine to add more ice.   Never place hands inside machine or
hopper when motor is running.   Scoop ice into cones or cups.  Apply syrup to ice using  pump dispenser (a single
pump is generally plenty).  Tip – only make sno as needed – it can melt quickly, especially on hot days!

Spaceball (Human Gyro Ride):  Ride must be supervised at all times.   One participant at a time – no one else
may be on the ride platform or within 5 feet of the ride at any time except the participant and operator / supervisor.
Participant must be seated, and safety devises engaged, and feet in footrest and strapped in.   Participant must
follow all instructions of supervisor, and must remain seated and hold onto hand holds at all times – do not let go!
If you do not feel well because of the motion – tell the operator.   This ride can disorient some riders, and make
them feel dizzy, or nauseous.   Do not ride this ride if you are susceptible to motion sickness.

Splish Splash (inflatable Slip and Slide):  Please limit to 2 participants on the unit at any given time.  Game must
be supervised at all times.   Participants should take care not to come in contact with each other, or injury may
occur.   Do not jump onto of off of the game.   Observers should not lean on or sit on the game, or touch any of the
participants.  Weight limit is 225 pounds per participant.   Make sure that blowers, extension cords, and all other
electrical equipment are kept well away from any water that is on or off of the unit.

Sumo Wrestling: Sumo Wrestling Rules, a separate instruction document that you have signed, must be carefully
followed.   Sumo Wrestling must be supervised at all times – we recommend a minimum of 2 supervisors.   No more
than 2 Participants at a time.   Spectators may not touch or interfere with the wrestlers in any way.   Participants
must wear all safety equipment.   Participants must stay on the mat at all times.   Participants should not push other
participants off of the mat area.   No Running, Grabbing

Trackless Train: Make sure that all riders on the train are fastened in with seat belts.   All riders must follow the
instructions of the driver of the train.   If there is a supervisor riding in one of the cars on the train, all riders must
follow the instructions of the supervisor.   Do not put any part of your body outside of the train car in which you are
riding – keep arms, hands, legs, etc. inside the car at all times.   Remain seated at all times.   Do not enter the train
while it is moving.   Do not exit the train while it is moving.   Do not enter or exit the train except when instructed to
do so by the driver or supervisor.   All observers should stay well away from the train while it is in motion.

T Ball Inflatable / Mini Hoops:  Games should be supervised at all times.  Do not let participants throw any balls
or other equipment used at any other participant or bystander.    Inflatables are not to be climbed on – only use for
the intended purpose.   Bystanders should stand well away from participants.

Turbo Trikes / Pedal Karts: Use only in a designated area.   Activity must be supervised at all times.   Participants
should not try to hit each other’s vehicles, any person, or object.   Only drive the turbo trike or pedal kart in a safe
and responsible manner.   No going “off track” with the vehicle.   No riding on uneven or unsafe surfaces of any
kind.   Extreme riding can cause tires, wheels, chains  and other parts of the vehicles to become damaged.
Observers should stay well away from the vehicles.

Twin Spin:  Ride must be supervised at all times.   All observers must stay outside of the fenced in area at all
times.  All riders must follow the directions of operator.   All riders must remain seated and with seat belts on at all
times while on the ride.   Feet must stay on foot rest area, and hands must be on handlebars.   No horseplay.  Do
not attempt to get on or off of the ride while it is in operation.

Ultimate Sports Combo:  Make sure that this game is supervised at all times.   Weight limit is no more than 250
pounds per participant, no more than 1,000 pounds combined weight in the game at one time.  Participants should
refrain from flips, kicks, and roughhousing.   Do not jump off of or onto game.   Observers should not lean on or
against the inflatable.   If using joust sticks, balls or other objects within the inflatable, take care to not hit other
participants in the head, or any part of their body when they are not expecting it.   Practice good sportsmanship at
all times.

Velcro Wall (Sticky Wall).  Only one person at a time should be on the inflatable Velcro wall.   Participants waiting
to try out the game can put on the Velcro suit or vest supplied, but must stay off of the inflatable until it is their
turn.   Weight limit is 225 pounds.   Game must be supervised at all times.   Do not jump onto of off of the game.
Bounce up and try to stick on the wall.   Smaller, lighter participants  will stick better than larger participants.
Extending arms and legs, and getting as much Velcro to Velcro contact as possible will help you stick better.
Lighter participants may need assistance of getting “unstuck” from the wall, and the supervisor may get onto the
inflatable to do this.   The Velcro will not stick very well if damp.

Video Games.  Games should be supervised at all times.   Participants should remain aware of the position of
other players and bystanders, and should not use any game controller, guitar, game parts, or accessories to strike
another person.   Bystanders should remain well away from players, especially with active games.
